MUTANT KITTY

A short animated doodle. It was originally a quick illustration to be included in a Game Artist job application. Client asked for a "cat with three ears", and so this is what I came up with.
Just to take it up a notch, I decided to add a bit of life to it with After Effects. You can see how I achieved a slightly 3D look with a 2D illustration below. By splitting the 2D illustration into parts, it allows for some great fun in After Effects. As an example, pay attention to the head. All the features are separate and move independently. This creates the illusion of depth.
